The world views America as a big powerful arrogant bully. This was not the case prior to 2001. At least it was not as bad as it is now.

Bush and his PNAC pals end 50 years of progress in  just over 2 years. The entire world stands united on issue after issue as Bush drags the US out of treaty after treaty. Did he tell us about this during his campaign?

The Bush administration has turned the US into an immoral, imperialistic, self centered nation dedicated to the well being of the ultra rich corporate entities. The people of the world and the health of the planet can go to hell as far as Bush and PNAC are concerned.

International relations are at an historical low. Anti-Americanism is at an all time high. Desperate people are becoming terrorists at a record pace. All of this is a result of a failed arrogant aggressive elitist PNAC designed foreign policy.

  • Gag Reflex - The prohibition on U.S. government funding of any organization that performs abortions or advocates for the liberalization of abortion laws in other countries nearly crippled President Bush's high-profile $15 billion AIDS initiative.

The press is telling us how great this is but they are not telling us that he is full of crap!

  • Bush AIDS policy “misleading and inaccurate” - President Bush has manipulated science to support his political ideology, according to a new report, producing an AIDS policy that is misleading and inaccurate. - While this has stretched over a broad range of topics, most frightening is the administration’s Stalin-esque control of AIDS information and sexual education, which the report claims has led to an “altering of performance measures” to highlight the importance of abstinence only sex education and to make it easier for programmes that emphasised this form of education to be effective.
  • U.S. Cuts Off Financing for AIDS Program, Provoking Furor - he State Department has discontinued financing for a small but well-regarded AIDS program for African and Asian refugees because it contends that one of the groups involved in the project supports forced abortions and involuntary sterilization in China, officials said this week. -  The decision to end the financing has raised a furor among AIDS and refugee groups. Relief workers fear that officials are bowing to pressure from anti-abortion factions within the Bush administration and allowing politics to interfere with desperately needed AIDS programs, assertions that the State Department denies.- The group, Marie Stopes International, offers abortion counseling and services. - State Department officials acknowledge that they have no evidence to suggest that Marie Stopes is involved in forced abortions or involuntary sterilization, and the group itself says it has been trying to end forced abortions in China and to expand voluntary family planning.

  • America's imperial delusion - The US drive for world domination has no historical precedent - Domestically, the real danger for a country that aims at world control is militarisation. Internationally, the danger is the destabilising of the world.- TVNL comment: Bush/PNAC are on their way to achieving both!

  • The U.S. and the Escalating Threat to the World - The U.S. and its Coalition of the Morally Bankrupt have used their invasion of Iraq as a means through which to achieve many goals apart from its primary goal of gaining control of Iraq and its natural resources. This war has been a vehicle through which the U.S. not only elevated propaganda to new heights at the expense of the truth, but actually undertook the murder of independent journalists.
  • Dangerously unpopular - Like all U.S. presidents, George W. Bush likes to say that for him it's all principle and steady-as-she-goes, and he pays no attention to opinion polls. But he had better pay attention to this one. A worldwide poll surveying opinions about the United States in 44 countries shows that the U.S. is widely feared and disliked. This is in striking contrast to the post-9/11 period when the people of the world admired and sympathized with America and Americans.
  • What Is Happening In America? - It is unquestionably the most radical government in modern American history, one whose ideology and actions have become so pervasive, and are so unquestionably mirrored by the mass media here, that the population seems to have forgotten what "normal" is.
  • EU 'has to play larger world role to avoid US domination' - The document also calls on member states to boost military capabilities: "The conclusion of the cold war has left the US in a dominant position," it says. It is not a place where interests of the United States and other big powers intersect. -TVNL question: Well Mr. Bush, Well PNAC, where is your “compassionate” conservatism? When are we going to bring these people democracy? Hey George, were the Iraqi people in more need of our help than these people?

Therefore, for anybody, especially the leader of a superstate, to act outside the United Nations is something that must be condemned by everybody who wants peace," Mandela told reporters after a meeting with French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin.
  • The perils of our US alliance - According to the British historian Eric Hobsbawm, "the policies that have recently prevailed in Washington seem to all outsiders so mad that it is difficult to understand what is really intended". - One explanation is that according to ideological vigilantes on the political right, it is not possible to criticise the policies of the Bush Administration without being "anti-American."

The U.S. has become the military version of the Warner Brothers cartoon character the Tasmainian Devil; where is Bugs Bunny when we need him?!
  • THE NEW AMERICAN ORDER - From here, from Paris and from other capitals, it appears that the administration of George W. Bush is operating only in its own reality. And sometimes the American press seems to be doing the same thing. British and French correspondents are "dissing" the American press as just another branch of the U.S. government. - TVNL comment: Pay attention to this one folks. Have you ever been in a relationship where everyone around you sees that the person you are with is no good for you, but you don’t see it? • U.S. Policies Consistently Undermine Human Rights - Last year, President Bush removed the U.S. signature from the ICC treaty, which had been signed by former President Bill Clinton as one of his final acts before leaving office. This decision by the Bush administration clearly illustrated that Washington would only tolerate politically-motivated prosecutions that serve U.S. interests. By certifying that Colombia's human rights-violating armed forces can continue receiving military assistance for counternarcotics operations and by insisting that U.S. military and civilian personnel be provided immunity from the ICC, the Bush administration has once again undermined international human rights efforts.

Bush Junior seems unaffected while pursuing the Oligarchy’s elite agenda for global hegemony.
  • When America goes it alone, we all pay - WE ARE, they tell us, living in a unipolar moment, when the United States has decided to eschew liberal internationalism and multilateralism for a winner-takes-all, me-first strategy. The whole political and strategic framework of containment has been tipped over for an aggressive, pre-emptive, first-strike doctrine that gives the rest of us very little to be part of, or little to attach ourselves to.
  • In Europe, Bush's America Is a Real Turnoff - "Bush wants to rule the world. He has big muscles, but the brain of a mouse." - "It was a betrayal of world opinion," -  "We are much more doubtful of America's moral high ground."
  • Critics Assail Bush's Strategy of Restraint in Liberia - President Bush built lofty expectations around the world about his willingness to help stanch the bloodshed in Liberia, and now is facing widespread criticism for sending only a handful of troops, with no promise of combat forces, after five weeks of delay. - "When we're telling countries they have to be for us or against us, it hurts our credibility if we are not responsive when the rest of the world is saying there's something they need us to do."

  • Finally Fascist - The word ‘fascist’ inevitably conjures up horrifying images of Nazi swastikas, concentration camps, packed political rallies, people screaming while a lunatic Hitler orates loudly and gesticulates wildly. Hard to imagine any strain of such a hideous disease infecting America - the world’s shining beacon of democracy, liberty, hope, and freedom.

  • Study Finds Europeans Distrustful of U.S. Global Leadership - Europeans are increasingly uncomfortable with the United States' global leadership, with majorities in almost every nation opposing the direction of American foreign policy, a new poll has found. - TVNL Comment: This proves that our coalition of the willing is comprised of nations where the people are coalitions of people who have no say in the matter! • Reasons to fear U.S. - However, two years after 9/11, the United States has yet to confront the roots of terrorism, has waged more war than peace and has continually raised the stakes of international confrontation. - On 9/11, the world reacted with shock and horror, and sympathy for the victims. But it is important to bear in mind that for much of the world, there was a further reaction: "Welcome to the club."
  • Rich and poor clash over farm aid - Europe and the United States have been accused of trying to break up a powerful new alliance of poor states bent on rewriting global trade rules. - The G21 is demanding the complete abolition of subsidies paid by rich countries to their farmers which, they say, locks the developing world out of international markets. - But aid agency Action Aid has accused the US delegation at Cancun of attempting to alternately cajole and bully poor nations into leaving the G21 - an accusation the Americans have denied.
  • Saudis consider nuclear bomb - Until now, the assumption in Washington was that Saudi Arabia was content to remain under the US nuclear umbrella. But the relationship between Saudi Arabia and the US has steadily worsened since the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington: 15 of the 19 attackers were Saudi. - TVNL Comment: the Bush/PNAC administration, with it’s arrogance, has created a global nuclear arms race. There will be nations developing or obtaining nuclear weapons simply to deter the US.

Pervez Musharraf told the Citizen in an interview. - "If we show one more negative, in the form of a military operation against another Muslim country, I think it's going to be disastrous."
  • London and World Protests Oppose Iraq Occupation - Tens of thousands of anti-war protesters staged demonstrations around the world on Saturday venting their anger at the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and calling for an end to the occupation. - Chanting "Troops out of Iraq and Blair out of Number 10," protesters in London demonstrated against Britain's continued military involvement. - Coordinated protests were held across western Europe and in Turkey and South Korea, but were only a faint shadow of huge pre-war peace rallies.
  • No wonder America has so many enemies - ERIC MARGOLIS - President Bill Clinton was impeached by a Republican-controlled Congress for lying about sex. President George W. Bush and aides lied the United States into a stupid, unnecessary colonial war that has so far killed more than 305 Americans and seriously wounded more than 1,400. It has also cost many thousands of Iraqi dead, and $1 billion US weekly.  - Lying about sex is an impeachable offence; lying the nation into war apparently is not.

  • Washington's Sour Sales Pitch - First, the government — not the broader American public — has been the main messenger to a world that is mightily suspicious of it. The result is America speaking at the world, usually with simplistic and often offensive propaganda:
  • US imposes sanctions on Syria - The United States' House of Representatives has passed legislation to impose sanctions on Syria for alleged ties to terrorist groups and attempts to obtain nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. - TVNL Comment: The US keeps making the same mistaks.Sanctions have never proved successful in any respect. They have clearly resulted in the death and suffering amon civillian populations. Sanctions are used to set nations up for invasion. They weaken the county that has the sanctions imposed on it and then it uses any violations of those sanctions as an excuse to attack them.

  • WTO Pressures U.S. Over Steel Tariffs - The World Trade Organization's highest court ruled on Monday that U.S. steel duties violated trade laws and the European Union threatened Washington with heavy sanctions if they were not quickly removed. - Brussels says it is ready to retaliate with some $2.2 billion of its own duties on U.S. goods, selected for the maximum political impact, and that these could be in force by early next month if Washington does not heed the WTO verdict. - ``We disagree with the overall WTO report. Breaking international law. Can other nations arrest people in the US? Will the US arrest Americans who are wanted by the law and now live in Israel?
  • Does Bush Know Why He is a Threat to World Peace? - America is no angel in the eyes of the world; they created most of the world's bloody dictatorial regimes that murdered millions of its citizens. Saddam Hussein is one such result of this policy but when he turned against the US it was the beginning of the end for him. The price for his removal has been enormous, an estimated one and a half million Iraqis (half of them children) died as a result of economic sanctions, strongly backed by the US, against Iraq. - Democracy is the answer usually given ... democracy, my foot! If the US really wanted true democracy for Iraq then it would not be imposing criminals on the Iraq people as leaders. Ahmed Chalabi, member of the US-backed Iraqi governing council, is a convicted embezzler with a 22-year jail sentence waiting for him in Jordan. The man has practically spent his entire life out of Iraq but in spite of there facts, he remains Washington's favourite for the highest office in Iraq.- Sounds democratic hmmm!

TVNL Comment: It is called the military industrial complex!
  • Challenging 'Pre-emption' - by Senator Robert C. Byrd - A lasting casualty is the international credibility and reputation of the United States of America. We have squandered the good will that had rallied to our side after the attacks of 9/11, attacks that struck just a few short blocks from where we sit tonight. At the end of that fateful day, the world was with us. The French newspaper Le Monde proclaimed, "We Are All Americans." But we squandered that good will. We turned our sights on Iraq and turned our back on the United Nations. As a result, in some corners of the world, including some corners of Europe and Great Britain, our beloved nation is now viewed as the world bully.
  • Observers Fault U.S. for Pursuing Mini-Nukes - Critics say American 'double standard' will undermine efforts to curb nuclear arms. -  Research on a new generation of precision atomic weapons by the Bush administration threatens to undermine international efforts to stop the spread of nuclear arms and to tarnish recent successes, according to diplomats and nonproliferation experts. - The criticism focuses on the administration's decision to lay the groundwork for developing low-yield weapons — known as mini-nukes — while pursuing President Bush's doctrine of preemptive strikes against rogue states

It has also renewed a global nuclear arms race. This world is exponentially more dangerous as a result of the Bush/PNAC administration gaining control of the White House.
  • Egypt Muzzles Calls for Democracy - Reformers Say Billions in U.S. Aid Prop Up Authoritarian Rule - And they contend that, contrary to Bush's pronouncements, U.S. aid -- nearly $2 billion per year over the past two decades -- has propped up an unpopular government, its army and police, and helped suppress democracy. - TVNL Comment: This example of Amercican foriegn policy is EXACTLY why “terrorists” want to kill us! Not because they hate freedom, because they want freedom and we help to prevent that.
  • The U.S.-European Divorce - Bush's faith has been forced to the surface, accentuating the growing values gap between an increasingly liberal Europe and an increasingly conservative United States. - Hostile welcomes for President Bush have become a regular occurrence in a Europe increasingly hostile toward the United States. -  In London last November, the president was called "the biggest warmonger on the face of this earth”. - The conservative Texan has become a lightening rod for hate, on a continent where many view the United States as a rogue state. - “He wasn't democratically elected, and he's ignored lots of international laws."”

  • 'US climate policy bigger threat to world than terrorism' - Tony Blair's chief scientist has launched a withering attack on President George Bush for failing to tackle climate change, which he says is more serious than terrorism. - TVNL Comment: Finally somebody other than TvNewsLies says what we have been saying all along!
  • Bush's dismal record speaks for itself - Under this administration, we are the only western nation to fail to sign the Kyoto Protocol for greenhouse gas emissions reduction, and the only nation among 130 to refuse to sign on the world ban on land mines. Of 192 nations that signed the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, only the U.S. and Somalia have not signed on. He withdrew from the World Court of Law. - We were the only country to be removed by the United Nations from the Human Rights Commission. Under the Bush/PNAC leadership we have become despised and disrespected around the globe. Old friends now have to deal with rampant anti-Americanism from their populations and desperate oppressed people are signing up to become terrorists at a record pace. Why is the media pretending this is not happenning?
  • US sugar barons 'block global war on obesity' - Leading scientists accused the Bush administration last night of putting the interests of powerful American sugar barons ahead of the global fight against obesity. - TVNL Comment: If pedophiles were Bush/PNAC contributors the Bush/PNAC administration would find a way to make child pornography legal. • Venezuela's Security & Defense Council confirms USA involvement in April 2002 coup d'etat  - During an interview on State VTV program, " En Confianza," Lopez Hidalgo presented evidence of US Embassy complicity in the events of April 11, 2002, implicating a US citizen, who identified himself as a US Major and was captured in 2001 when, the General claims, the coup was in its planning stages.  - TVNL Comment: Once again the US decides who runs other countries. This is why we are a target of terrorist. If we mind out business we would be better off. The citizens of this country and the men and women of our armed services will pay the price of the illegal and immoral actions of our government. We can not dictate how other nations should run their governments.

"Therefore, we have to, as before, help the United States keep its own human rights record," said the official.

"The rejection is not only on the international politics concerning the war, but it's on the war that the Bush administration is making on women." - When President Bush decided to block more than $100 million to the UN population fund, European nations decided to fill the resulting "decency gap" in money for international family planning and sex education, Harth said.
  • Rape, torture, and one million forced to flee as Sudan's crisis unfolds. Will we move to stop it? - This is where some of the world's worst human rights abuses are occurring and nothing is being done to stop it. This is ethnic cleansing Sudanese-style.
