A suspect opened fire at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wis., on Monday, killing two people and injuring six more before dying of what police believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

It's one of more than 320 shootings that have taken place on school grounds this year alone, according to the K-12 School Shooting Database.

While school shootings are widespread in the U.S., this one is unusual because of the identity of the suspected perpetrator: Authorities have identified her as a 15-year-old girl.

Eight men sporting white hair and glasses lined up in front of onlookers at City Hall Park in Burlington on Saturday to celebrate their resemblance to U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders.

“About half a dozen times people have said, ‘Are you Bernie?’ said Art Sherman of Burlington, one of the look-alikes. “A woman stopped her car and shouted out the window, ‘Senator, I love you!’”

The event was the latest in a string of viral celebrity look-alike contests popping up around the world. It started in October, when a look-alike contest for actor Timothée Chalamet drew hundreds of onlookers — and an appearance from Chalamet himself.

A teacher and teenage student were killed and six students were hurt in a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, on Monday, police said.

Police had briefly mentioned a higher death toll but later revised the information.

The suspect, a teenage student at the school, is also dead, police said. The suspect used a handgun, police said.

A motive is not clear, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said at a news conference.

Of the six injured students, two are in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, Barnes said. Four other students suffered non-life-threatening injuries, he said.

A 16-year-old boy in New Mexico allegedly killed four members of his family and then drunkenly turned himself in Saturday, investigators said.

The New Mexico state police said in a Facebook post that the teen was arrested in Belén, a small city in Valencia county, after he called authorities late at night and informed them he killed his family.

When the police arrived, the boy – identified as Diego Leyva – walked out of his home with his hands in the air and in an “extremely intoxicated” state, according to a statement from investigators. Inside the home, officers said they found a gun on the kitchen table and the bodies of the deceased family members.

New Mexico state police said they arrested Levya and booked him as an adult on four counts of murder. He was also brought to a hospital to undergo detoxification while investigators and crime scene technicians prepared to interview him, police added.

Ingrid Lewis-Martin, who engineered Eric Adams’ rise from police captain to mayor of the nation’s largest city, is abruptly resigning from City Hall.

Her departure, which takes effect immediately, comes at a precarious time for the mayor: He is heading to trial for a five-count federal indictment to which he pleaded not guilty, and is up for reelection next year. Lewis-Martin herself is being eyed by local law enforcement in a separate matter.

Prosecutors from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office have presented evidence about her to a grand jury, and could bring an indictment as soon as this week, The New York Times reported Sunday, after this story was initially published.

Her lawyer Arthur Aidala, and City Hall spokesperson Fabien Levy, declined to comment on the grand jury.

Few, if any, have been as close and loyal to the enigmatic mayor as the Brooklyn-based chaplain, whose husband was his friend in the NYPD.

Generation Z  is beginning to enter a workforce that isn't fully prepared for them.

As many recent graduates face complaints about how they fit into the workplace, employers report increasing hesitancy in hiring them, according to a report by the education and career advisory platform, Intelligent.

The report, which was based on a survey of nearly 1,000 hiring managers, found that one in six employers were reluctant to hire Gen Z workers mainly due to their reputation for being entitled and easily offended.

Moreover, more than half said that this generation, which refers to people born between 1997 and the early 2010s, lacks a strong work ethic, struggles with communication, doesn't handle feedback well, and is generally unprepared for the demands of the workforce.
