PM okays 750 new settlement homes, says fits state policy

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has approved the renewed construction of hundreds of an estimated 750 new homes in the West Bank settlement of Givat Ze'ev near Jerusalem, the Housing Ministry said Sunday.

TVNL Comment: Israel just keeps building on land that is not theirs and the US continues to give them OUR TAX MONEY!!! Is it any wonder that the Palestinians want to kill Israelites?  The Israelis simply take everything they own away. How are the Palestinians supposed to feel? Israel behaves like Nazi Germany and there is no denying it.

The Gaza Bombshell

After failing to anticipate Hamas’s victory over Fatah in the 2006 Palestinian election, the White House cooked up yet another scandalously covert and self-defeating Middle East debacle: part Iran-contra, part Bay of Pigs. With confidential documents, corroborated by outraged former and current U.S. officials, David Rose reveals how President Bush, Condoleezza Rice, and Deputy National-Security Adviser Elliott Abrams backed an armed force under Fatah strongman Muhammad Dahlan, touching off a bloody civil war in Gaza and leaving Hamas stronger than ever.

Settlers dig tunnels around Jerusalem

Jewish settler groups are digging an extensive tunnel network under Muslim areas of Jerusalem's Old City while building a ring of settlements around it to bolster their claim to the disputed city in any future peace deal, anti-settlement campaigners have told The Times.

One group, the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, said that settler tunnels could one day extend under the al-Aqsa mosque, Islam's third-holiest site, and claimed that extremists could use the access route to attack the structure in an attempt to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state. Settler groups flatly deny such allegations.

TVNL Comment: If Muslims had done this tunnel how do you think the US media would cover it? How do you think FOX News would cover it? As it is the US broadcast media is not covering it at all!

US Quietly Breaks UN Treaty

The treaty is the "supreme law of the land" under the US Constitution, article 6, clause 2. Every nation that signed the treaty (one hundred seventy-seven) was charged with giving a national report on such basic areas of discrimination as health care, education and prison terms. According to the Meiklejohn Civil Liberties Institute and the National Lawyers Guild, the United States on Friday presented a report to the United Nations Committee, never mentioning Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo or the behavior of US corporations working under US military contracts.

TVNL Comment: The term "quietly" can be directly translated into an accusation of media complicity to not report. In other words when the government does something in full view of the world and it is not reported you can say they did it quietly, without the media reporting it. It is one thing when the government does things out of sight. But when they do things for all to see, and the media does not report it, there is no other way to describe it other than to call it a conspiracy among the media to not report. This in essence makes them complicit.

How Labour used the law to keep criticism of Israel secret

The document reveals how the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) successfully fought to keep secret any mention of Israel contained on the first draft of the controversial, now discredited Iraq weapons dossier. At the heart of it was nervousness at the top of government about any mention of Israel's nuclear arsenal in an official paper accusing Iraq of flouting the UN's authority on weapons of mass destruction.

TVNL Comment: Here is more prof that there is a double standard when it comes to Israel. This is not conspiracy theory, this is clear conspiracy evidence.
